Cloud with Gold Lining (Framed)
When I started tying knots, my goal was to work through functional, purposeful knots in Clifford Ashley’s Book of Knots. But there is a whole universe of decorative knots, many of which are imbued with meaning. Working them is meditative in a different way. Many need to be woven and they need to be worked, and re-worked, with patience. They’re also little puzzles, done correctly or not.
The Cloud Knot is one of my favorites for its sweet little shape and woven appearance in the middle. It's a lovely knot that's fun to make. The Cloud Knot also bears a warm meaning -- it is a symbol of lightness through sun and storm. Isn't that a wonderful thought?
Brighten someone's day by gifting them a lighthearted cloud with a gold lining.
I just love this little cloud knot with its "arms" outstretched. Humble cotton braided rope is wrapped in recycled cotton frizz ribbon highlighted with threads of metallic gold.
