Whenever Rob and I go on vacation, we end up in places most hospitable to sheep. It appears we enjoy the same weather and landscapes. Iceland, Scotland, England, Faroe Islands - all well-populated by sheep. I love seeing them so much. Especially when they’re left to their own devices to roam without fences. They trek across the roads, snack on the grass, and nibble on your shoelaces if you stop to say hello.
There aren’t so many sheep roaming where I live in Michigan, so I suppose I create my own abstract ideas of them. Working with their wool roving delivers fond memories of them.
This tactile wall hanging features Merino sheep's wool roving, and has a loose resemblance of a warm, shaggy coat full of layers and texture. It has depth that allows you to sink your fingers into it, soft and cozy.
