One piece of rope, one type of knot! This piece is part of an exploration of how a single knot (clove hitch) can create shape, texture and structure. It ended up reminding me of something we might see in an engineering setting - like a grid of electrical coils of some sort. Three-ply rope is already twisted on itself, getting wrapped and twisted around itself again, and again.
The green wool-wrapped ends are a contrasting pop, and a functionally necessary detail - they prevent the rope from fraying.
Materials: 3-Ply Cotton Rope with Wool Thread Whipped Ends
Dimensions: 12" wide by 15" long
Domestic US Shipping
First Class Shipping via USPS to locations within the contiguous United States is included in the price of each piece.
