Inspiration

My work is inspired by the natural world around us -- woolly animals, flowers and weeds, beaches and clouds -- and very often by the materials themselves. 

Materials

​Wool, cotton, linen and silk. Jute rope, thick cotton cord and string. I love working with real, natural materials that are tactile, feel good, and last. Every single piece also includes a bit of joy.

Story

These hand-crafted works have an inherent story thanks to their materials and individual qualities of art, craft, design, utility, therapy.

New work! New work! A new series of weavings are matted and framed to easily place in your home. They are hand-woven with natural materials, primarily wool, and have wonderful, playful texture.

​New Maker Market

My little community, Sylvan Lake, Michigan, is hosting a new one-day makers market this February 26. I'll be there, along with about two dozen other makers -- find all sorts of interesting art, home goods, and delicious food items.

Off the Loom

The latest off the loom is a one-of-a-kind custom commission for a new baby boy's nursery. Initially inspired by Never Neverland, the woven tapestry incorporates colors from the nursery, lots of texture, and soft textures. I hope it brings many smiles and happy dreams!
